“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist..."        Acts 17:24-28

These last few weeks have been some of the most emotional weeks of my life.  As I prepare my heart and mind for this journey to Bolivia, I continue to be amazed at the provision and faithfulness of the Lord!

Three weeks ago I was very stressed and doubting that this journey would even take place.  I was also becoming very sad about the possibility of leaving my friends and family that I lean on on a daily basis...I was a mess!!  On the 29th of April, I got up and went to Grace Midtown for the 9am service.  I wanted to be by myself and worship.  The sermon that morning was about the Lord providing money for the new land and building that the church is purchasing, yet the whole time Matt was talking and testimonies were being given God was convicting me of my unbelief in His ability to provide for me in this transition.  While Matt was preaching he asked us to turn to a scripture, I heard him incorrectly and actually turned to Acts 17:24-28 (above).  My mishearing him led to peace from the Holy Spirit...provision #1.

After leaving Grace Midtown, I met some of my best friends for a time of worship and hearing from the Lord.  During our time of worship, I wept knowing I would not have many more of these times with them and was yet again reminded of how blessed I am to have a community that will be behind me in this transition and journey.  The Lord also confirmed that he would provide a community to lean on in Bolivia as well.  In our time of sharing my friend Mark got a word from the Lord for me--Provision!  God knew that I needed to hear it more than once to get it through my thick skull that HE SATISFIES EVERY NEED!!...provision #2 and 3

Since then, He reminds me everyday that He is on my side and providing not just money but peace, friendship, love, and encouragement!  Through the pride my brother Daniel has in me, sweet notes and hugs from students, parents, and co-workers, time spent with my girls I mentor, the song "His Eye is on the Sparrow" sung by a sweet sister-in-Christ, encouraging words of excitement from a brother-in-Christ, and a team of women to help in my fundraising efforts along with so many other moments continue to show me I am a BLESSED daughter that lives, moves, and exists in HIM!!  How thankful I am for my life in HIM!
