Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created, and he established them for ever and ever—he issued a decree that will never pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women, old men and children.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. And he has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 148
The Lord knows what I need! How GREAT is our God that He would would allow me to take a long weekend with some great girls to an amazingly beautiful and peaceful place! December 2nd will be my three month-a-versary of being in Bolivia. In these past three months I have not been out of the city of Santa Cruz except for high school retreat, which was pretty close to the city. This past weekend He allowed me enjoy a weekend away to experience peace and beauty that I needed to know still existed! Lately, I have been in a place of annoyance with the dirt and smoke that is Santa Cruz. He knew that I needed to have some time in the amazing creation He made for my enjoyment and he provided beyond measure.
He allowed me to enjoy the amazing amount of stars the he put in the sky. He allowed me to be filled with His love all over again by experiencing breathtaking waterfalls, mighty mountains, beautifully different plant-life, a peaceful small town, ancient ruins, hot, sweaty hikes that lead to magnificent views, and amazing women of God with which to share it. The pictures do not do it justice, but it gives you a glimpse of how great our God is that he would allow us to see things like these. I come back refreshed, relaxed, and thankful for sight to see His beauty, for hearing to hear the sounds of his creation, for nerves to touch and feel the sights that people long ago laid hands on, and a voice to proclaim HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
